I’m Lauren
LICENSED MARRIAGE & FAMILY THERAPIST
At the heart of my approach is a recognition of the shared humanity that connects us all. I believe that we’re all doing the best we can with the tools we have—none of us are broken or in need of fixing. We learn to adapt to our environments, experiences, and relationships in ways that help us survive emotionally and make sense of the world. Eventually, these strategies may no longer serve us or fit who we are becoming. Therapy offers a space to explore these patterns together and begin developing new ways of being that support this version of you.
MY APPROACH TO THERAPY IS GUIDED BY THESE
values
AUTHENTICITY
we embrace the real, messy, beauty of human imperfection, making this a safe space to show up just as you are.
INCLUSION
we celebrate all aspects of your intersecting identities, welcoming people of color, queer, trans, poly, fat, and neurodivergent folks to this space.
ANTI-OPPRESSION
we recognize the impact of oppressive systems and challenge racism, sexism, fatphobia, homophobia, transphobia, and capitalism.
COLLABORATION
we work together as a team to identify and move towards your unique version of growth, collaborating as partners in your journey.
How It Works
.01
Schedule a free 20-minute consultation call using my client booking platform. During the call, we will discuss your goals for therapy and explore how we might work together.
Book a consultation
.02
Determine if we are a good fit
The initial phone call is a starting point in an ongoing collaborative discussion of your needs for support. Sometimes, we conclude that you would benefit from a different approach and I will help you find this.
.03
Schedule a first session
Together, we will find a time to meet for a first session where we will continue the exploratory discussion, while diving deeper into what brings you into therapy.

This is a complex question to answer, since it varies so much by person. I don’t work off prescriptive timelines and progress will always be an ongoing and collaborative discussion during treatment. Some will find symptom improvement within a few months, while others will choose to continue for much longer. If you have expectations for this, I invite you to discuss it with me during a consultation call.

When starting out, I recommend weekly sessions to best support your growth and progress. As we continue to work together, we may consider less frequent sessions when appropriate to your goals.
